All visitors to India must obtain a visa from an Indian diplomatic mission unless they come from one of
the visa-exempt countries or a country whose citizens may obtain a visa on arrival, or an e-Visa online.

Visa NOT Required:

Bhutan and Nepal (Freedom of Movement) and Maldives (Visa Free Entry for 90 Days)

e-Visa:

e-Visas can only be used if you are planning to enter India at one of the following port of entries:

Airports: Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bagdogra, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Gaya, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Mangaluru, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, Tiruchirappalli, Varanasi, Visakhapatnam

Seaports: Cochin, Goa, Mangalore

Countries that can apply for e-Visas online at https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html:

  • Your passport needs to be valid for at least 6 months after your expected entry into India
